Home Sweet Home

Hello from sunny Galveston Island. John and I returned yesterday from Kellie and Jeremy's wedding and are busy putting the final touches on our home. I have been cleaning like mad. I chose to show you all a couple picture from our apartment complex today. The first is the inside. It is a picture from the living room into the dining room. Take special note of our new living room furniture compliments of Big Lots. The second is one of John relaxing at one of the two pools on the property here. We have only actually used the pools a couple of time. We much prefer the beach. John and I walk there almost daily. Of course, as most of you know, we are within walking distance of the seawall.

Also, for those who have not heard. I (Erika) got a job last week. I should be starting sometime within the next week. I will be the research interviewer/coordinator/misc. person for the pediatric infectious disease and immunology department. Specifically, I will be working with the maternal AIDS patients. The job is located on the UTMB campus (only a few blocks from John) in the Children's Hospital there.

Yay! Sounds like things are possibly settling down for you. I was sad that I missed you this weekend at the wedding. Homework bites.
I hope your job is something you enjoy. Bonus that it's so close to John!
Just wondering what your weekends look like for August 12th or August 19th. Richie and I are really considering coming, but we would rather not be an intrusion. If there are others coming one or both of those weekends we will avoid an overcrowding problem for you. :) Otherwise we are looking forward to seeing you then (if not sooner). Love you
