Meet the Newest Addition to the Anderson family

We picked up our new dog this afternoon. He was born December 8, 2007. He is a mix of a pug and a King Charles Cavalier- a pugalier. Since he has joined the Anderson family, he has peed on the floor, had a mild nervous breakdown after being separated from his brothers, and received lots of new toys. He also made a new friend, Bella. Bella was our inspiration for pug-mix. She is a puggle owned by our friend Dianne in the the MD/PhD program. They had some fun playing together.
We simply love him even though he has been fairly depressed since moving. Here are some pictures of our first day with him. He is a joy...... at least so far but we have not spent the night with him yet. As Cristy noted, this is the closest any of our family will come to having a human for many years to come. Yes, gifts are being accepted in lieu of a child. The name is to be announced at a later time (John and I disagree.)

I love him! I now regret being the only "no pet" vote. I'll admit it. I was holding out for a vote involving a human child.

Brian and I like the way you've embraced the fact that kids aren't in your next decade, and thus have caved for a slightly cheaper, yet still very fulfilling alternative.

Keep me posted on your potty training & disciplining adventures.

so, can I send my little nephew a Ksu doggie jersey?

he's cute!! and so little! you guys are really going to love him! i think that milo is a good puppy and grown-up dog name. but wilbur's probably out, because if you use wilbur for your dog, then i won't be able to have a dog named wilbur.

So I have a new granddoggy and I find out about it on the internet.
He is very cute and very fortunate to have such a good home. I can't wait to meet him. He's so little. How big will he get? Mom(Vicki)

let's vote on the name too! he is darling. he will miss his siblings for a while...so when he cries at night it's from not having those warm bodies to snuggle against!
erika...you could always let John name the puppy as long as you name the kids!
love you!

Wow
He is a cute puppy. I think Brutus is a good name. It is dignified living in a future doctor's home!!!!

Have fun. I hear if you put wind-up alarm clock in the bed with him he will be more content at night. Not sure if it works, but.......

Very sweet. Hope you're sleeping okay. They're like babies to start with!

Hey, I just wanted to let you know that your little one is soooo cute. The little one really looks like our pug. And his name is Milo. I thought that it was funny that you sister mentioned that name. Good luck picking a name and potty training I have been there. Have fun. Mandi Ridenour

Cute puppy! They can be a handful at first, but worth it in the end! And good luck with naming--sometimes they just come into a name, or you could just give him several names! Enjoy having a little one around!

Oh my gosh! Look at what I missed when I was gone!! He is adorable! I want to come and meet him right now! I am so glad you guys decided on that one...good choice! So does he wake you up at night at all? Or does he sleep through the night? (Amazing how they are kind of like children)
