A Night at the Beach

John and I spent last night on the beach at Galveston. So just to entice people to visit, I thought you should see some pictures. The seawall is only a couple of blocks from our house so we walked to the spot where these pictures were taken. We went in the evening because the beaches are crowded during the day. The first picture is the fishing pier. The sand at this location is brought in. So, I guess the "beach" is not technically a beach. Oh well, it is for us Kansas folk. There are two true beaches on the Island. They are East Beach and Stewert Beach. We haven't been to them yet. Also, I did find out that my job will start next Monday, July 3. It should be quite an experience. I am definitely looking forward to having something to do.

Hey Erika and John! It looks like you guys are liking TX. I'm glad--it's so beautiful down there! The sunset pics are neat, and it sounds like things are really going well for you guys. I've seen lots of Joel and Butch recently at the co-op and think of you guys every time! Jackie
