Happy 17th Birthday Annette

Annette decided to grace us with her presence for her 17th birthday. Why not? Not everybody can say that they when to the beach for their 17th birthday. We had a great time. We went to the Houston Museum of Natural History. There was an exhibit there on Imperial Rome that Annette wanted to see. As it turns out, there is a whole world up there in the big city of Houston that John and I have not seen. Here is Annette and John outside of the Museum and then the girls in the exhibit.
Of course, a trip to Galveston is not complete without a little shopping on the Strand where Annette found her birthday gift from John and me. She had to model it for John because he did not go shopping with us. Finally, we made a big birthday meal on their last night with us on our NEW grill. (We love the new grill. I think cooked on it 4 times this last week. )
It was great to see Annette. She is maturing into a beautiful, articulate, caring, young woman. She will be fine out there in the big world that awaits. I just wonder if the world is ready for her....

Ok, the first thing I thought after looking at this post, is, that is a monster of a grill!!! Holy cow!! And the food on it, looks pretty dang good :). That is a great picture of you, your mom and Annette. After Jeremy saw the grill, he said, we need to go and see them. Ha ha. So seriously...we are coming. Soon!
